Fall Harvest - an oil painting of pumpkins and chrysanthemums

At this time of year, the abundance of local gardens produces bright orange pumpkins just right for an autumn arrangement.

In this scene, chrysanthemums, corn and various squash including pumpkins make a colorful picture arranged with hay bales by a white picket fence.

I just love this painting! All the variety and the pumpkins, too! Did you paint from life? :-)

Thanks!

Though I paint from life as often as possible, this one was from a photo that I took. It's unfortunately not my arrangement, but belongs to a neighbor of one of my friends. Though they would not have minded, I did not feel totally comfortable sitting in their yard to do the painting!
