Tulips - Watercolor Painting
This is an example of a painting that turned out much differently than I'd originally planned. Sometimes a painting has a mind of its own, and this is one of them. It started as one tulip with a medium blue background. But that didn't work, so more tulips sprung to life on the watercolor paper with deep reds, blues and greens flowing around them. The result is deep, rich, jewel tones in this piece. A bit different for me, but I like it!
