Tree Sketches in Pencil, Colored Pencil and Black Ink

Spruce - pencil
Still sketching away - every day! Here's an update on the tree sketches I've challenged myself to do every day of 2014. There are 46 sketches so far.

You can see all the sketches on my Facebook page: Tree Sketches 2014

I've posted twelve of them below:

After 33 sketches, I got tired of graphite pencil and began using colored pencil for a while:

Then I switched to black ink which I'm liking very much - it's clean and easy to use. At some point, I'll try watercolor with ink:

Sketching trees has reopened my eyes to the many interesting trees in my area. When driving, I always want to stop when I see a particularly gorgeous one (but if I did, I'd never get anywhere!).

It feels great to continue with my New Year's resolution. How about you? Do you have one that you're still keeping?
