Horses in Springtime watercolor painting

Not too long ago on one of my daily walks (I like to walk at least a couple of miles a day) I passed by this scene at a nearby homestead. The blossoming shrub and the horses in the field just made me want to paint this! I was pleased with how the foreground colors ran together making the look of grasses - watercolors can offer up pleasant surprises like that sometimes. The piece has a soft effect to denote the newness of a spring day. Unlike some of my other work where I use saturated color, this is a painting with a light touch.
