One bright and sunny morning in Zehland, two yellow chicks named Ferdinand and Nina left their home at Tulipa Farm to see what there was to see in the big wide world. They discovered, not far from their home, a large flower garden full of luscious blooms. It was humming with bees and delightful fragrances filled the air. A large wooden sign arching across the entryway was engraved with the name "Botanikah Gardens".
"Let's go in there," suggested Ferdinand, and Nina, who was enchanted by the colorful flowers, agreed. As the two friends entered the garden, they saw a well-worn path overhung with sweet-smelling honeysuckle that disappeared around a bend. Being curious little chicks, they decided to see where it led. They hopped down the path and presently found themselves by the side of the garden pond. There, floating idly right by the edge of the pond was a little toy sailboat. Now the two chicks had lived all their lives at Tulipa Farm, but they had never seen anything like a boat before.
"It looks like a feeding bin," observed Nina. "I wonder what's inside."
